Directors serve as an integral part of our project teams, and as leaders within the firm. Directors are the firm’s senior leadership and routinely direct client work to solve clients’ complex problems from day one. The ideal candidate is adaptable to new assignments, industries, functions, systems, and tools, can handle multiple engagements concurrently, and is able to meet deadlines under pressure.
Responsibilities:

- Be accountable when working with client and firm team members on time-sensitive projects to structure work plans and manage the collective efforts through to completion.
- Proactively identify, raise, and manage issues and risks, communicate up, down and across organizations and report on activities, progress, and challenges.
- Collaborate with and mentor firm team members to amplify individual strengths; coach and lead development of junior team member growth opportunities as a leader in the firm’s Performance Management structure.
- Challenge the decisions / conclusions of others to strive for excellence in finding the best answers and solutions that are in the highest interest of our clients and our people.
- Help lead, enforce, drive, and implement the firm’s strategic objectives related to practice management in one or many of the following areas: Business Development, Social Media & Marketing, Recruiting & Onboarding, Employee Engagement & Retention, Employee Training and Professional Development, Philanthropy and Community Outreach.
- Identify and help cultivate new opportunities with existing or prospective clients.
Prior Industry/Project Experience:
Directors frequently lead the following types of engagements by conducting independent analysis and directing teams to deliver results. Hands-on experience in several of the following areas is required:
- System Implementations
- Organizational Change Management
- Shared Services Design and Implementation
- Cost Reduction Strategies
- Mergers and Acquisitions: Divestitures, Carve-Outs, and/or Integrations
- Information Technology Improvements
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives/Process Improvement/Optimization for business processes such as Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and/or Record-to-Report
- Program Management
- Client Relationship Management
- Performance Management
- Finance and Accounting Remediation
Professional/Technical Skills:
- Able to create structure for project/program management (scope, staffing, project plan, and budget) engagements spanning a variety of domains such as application implementations, process implementations, quality assurance programs, and system integrations.
- Possesses an integration mind-set, proactively facilitating solutions to remove issues, risks, and barriers;
- Leverages structured problem-solving approaches and adapts quickly to evolving situations.
- Proficient in building a business case (through cost-benefit analysis) and driving change on related work streams and projects.
- Practiced succinctly and effectively articulating information in written and verbal communications; tailors messaging to audience (from analyst to senior executive levels).
- Able to synthesize meaningful insights from data, opinions, or facts to develop a point of view and make recommendations based on best practices.
- Possess strong business analysis, requirements (business and functional) development and definition skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Accomplished with Smartsheet (integrations and/or automation).
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of relevant work experience, with at least 10+ years of professional services consulting experience or corporate positions with focus on improving or developing new operational, engineering, or financial processes and/or systems implementations
- 8+ years of demonstrated success in supervising teams of various sizes (3 to 20+) and multiple concurrent workstreams
- Bachelor’s degree
- Flexibility for overnight travel (up to 60%)
